Disclaimer

This page sets out the limits of the tool and of the information on this site: what audit results are and are not, that the tool is independent of Google, how external links and advertising are treated, and where our responsibility begins and ends.

1. General information

This site offers a free, automated SEO audit tool and articles about search engine optimisation. Everything it publishes — audit reports, scores, checklists and guides — is provided for general information and education. It is not a substitute for professional advice or for a manual review of your site, and nothing on this site creates a client, advisory or fiduciary relationship between the operator and any visitor.

2. No professional advice

Search engine optimisation, accessibility and web performance involve judgements that depend on your site, your business and your audience — context no automated check can see. Treat audit findings as a starting point for your own review, and consult a qualified professional before taking decisions with legal, financial or strategic consequences. Search engines also change their systems and guidance without notice; no tool, ours included, can promise a ranking outcome.

3. Accuracy and no warranties

The tool strives for accuracy, and wrong or incomplete results are possible. Findings are generated from a static analysis of a single fetched response, which can differ from what a browser renders, and some checks are heuristics — the contrast check among them, as the About page explains in detail.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Numeric scores are estimates and a prioritisation aid, not an authoritative metric — exactly as the Terms of use and the footer of every page state. Performance data sourced from Google PageSpeed Insights is Google’s own; everything else is generated by this tool.

4. Not affiliated with Google

This is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. It queries Google’s public PageSpeed Insights API and the public files any website publishes — a sitemap, a robots file, the page itself. It has no connection to Google Search Console, no access to private ranking data, and no influence over how any search engine ranks any site. Trademarks mentioned on these pages belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification only.

5. External links

This site links to third-party pages — Google’s policies, the Network Advertising Initiative, MDN, Wikipedia and similar references — as supporting material. Those pages are maintained by others. We do not control their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of the people behind it. Following one is at your own discretion, under that site’s own terms. If you find a broken link or one that leads somewhere harmful, tell us and we will review it.

6. Advertising on this site

Advertising on this site, where shown, is served through Google AdSense and is labelled as an advertisement. Ads are selected and delivered by Google; the products, services and claims in them belong to the advertisers, and their appearance here is not a recommendation or an endorsement by us.

Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in the Cookie Policy, and our authorised advertising sellers are declared publicly in our ads.txt file. Questions about the ads shown here go to the same address as everything else — see Contact below.

7. Limitation of liability

You use this site and act on its output at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage — including lost profits, lost data or business interruption — arising from use of, or reliance on, audit results, scores or articles published here, or from decisions taken on their basis.

The Terms of use govern the service and carry the full limitation of liability; where they and this page overlap, the Terms of use apply.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice to reflect changes in the tool, in advertising, or in the law. The version published on this page applies from the time it is published.
